HONORS

The Honors Program is designed for students in the Psychology (Cognitive Sciences) major who are interested in pursuing graduate study in psychology and/or seeking challenging research experiences as a capstone to their undergraduate experience.

\par

The program requires two (2) years to complete. It begins in the fall quarter of your junior year or 4th year (if taking 5 years to complete the degree) and ends in the spring quarter of your senior (or 5th) year.

\par

Applications are currently being accepted. The deadline for submission is June 5, 2009 (for continuing students) and August 15, 2009 (for transfer students).

HONOR SOCIETY

Students meeting the following criteria are eligible to become part of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology.

Junior or Senior status (with at least 4 upper-division psychology classes at UCI)

\par

Overall GPA in upper 10% of class (minimum 3.5-3.6)

\par

Overall Psychology GPA in upper 10% of class (minimum 3.5-3.6)

\par

Genuine interest in psychology

\par

The UCI chapter of Psi Chi accepts new members twice a year.

PSYCHOLOGY CLUBS

This is an academic club for psychology majors and other students interested in the study of psychology. The club sponsors guest speakers and social events to help students become better acquainted with one another and with faculty members who share similar interests. It also informs students of various career opportunities in psychology and related fields.
