Here is an example of the subjective Ternus configuration. Subjective dots are flashed for 130 milliseconds over the left two crosses, then a screen with just crosses is flashed for 130 milliseconds, then subjective dots are flashed for 130 milliseconds over the right two crosses, followed again by a screen with just crosses for 130 milliseconds. This sequence is repeated over and over. Your visual system makes two subjective dots jump back and forth together over the crosses. Visual Intelligence, page 146.
