The Flashing Neon Square



As I remove the little blue circles, you actually see more blue, in the form of a glowing blue square that looks like a filter through which you see black rings. Why? The filter interpretation is generic when the little blue circles are removed; it is nongeneric when the little blue circles are in place. You avoid interpretations that are nongeneric. This is a fundamental rule used by your Visual Intelligence.
